Billing starts at signup, but you cannot send a text until US carriers approve your A2P registration, and that wait does not pause the bill.
US staffing agencies, real estate investors and home-services firms with a steady flow of opted-in leads who want an AI to text them back within minutes, qualify them and put calls on the calendar.
you are outside the US or cannot complete carrier (A2P) registration, your lists are bought or scraped, you need annual pricing or published overage rates, or you want proof of the learning feature before paying $597 a month.

A review account in SurFox's review sandbox, given to us by the founder. The sandbox says so on every page: leads, dashboards and results are sample data, messaging is switched off and the AI Learning page is a mock-up. Two things work for real there, the test conversation on a campaign and Surf, the campaign assistant. We played leads against a sample campaign for an analytics company over SMS on 3 October 2026, sent our findings to SurFox, and re-tested on 6 and 12 October 2026 after they shipped fixes. We did not send a real text, connect a CRM, take a voice call or see the learning feature work on real conversations.

Four monthly plans, priced by message volume rather than seats. Starter is $49 a month: 1,000 SMS messages, 100 website chat conversations and 20 voice minutes a month, up to 500 new SMS leads, 3 active campaigns and 1 user, with the core AI, knowledge-base upload and Google and Outlook calendar booking, but no conversation learning. Growth is $597 a month: 10,000 messages, 500 website chats, 400 voice minutes and 5 users, plus conversation learning from the last 100 conversations, A/B testing, Zapier and a Chrome extension for lead capture.
Growth Plus is $1,497 a month: 25,000 messages, 2,000 chats, 1,000 voice minutes, 15 users, learning from the last 1,000 conversations, multiple personas, unlimited knowledge-base uploads, white-glove onboarding and a dedicated success manager. Scale is $2,497 a month: 40,000 messages, 5,000 chats, 2,000 voice minutes and 15 or more users with the same features. A message is any text in the conversation, yours or the lead's; the page puts a conversation at about 4 to 8 messages.
When you near the message limit you are emailed and can buy a top-up, at a price the page does not publish. Voice minutes over the bucket are billed automatically at $0.25 a minute. Website chats pause when the allowance runs out. There are no setup fees and no annual plans; the FAQ says annual options may come later, and the terms reserve annual billing for custom enterprise agreements.
You can cancel any time with 24 hours' notice, with no refund for a partial month. Every plan carries a 30-day money-back guarantee whose clock starts when your carrier (A2P) registration is approved, not at payment, and which pays out only if you sent at least 80% of your monthly messages and the AI demonstrably failed at its core tasks.

Category context: Sales & CRM. Across the 13 tools in this category that we researched with a public US-dollar price, the median entry price is $49 a month (lowest paid plan as listed, per seat where the vendor prices per seat). SurFox AI’s entry price of $49 a month sits roughly at that median. Compare pricing conditions in the Software Cost Atlas →
DAAN10 — 10% off the first three months, for new customers in the US only. SurFox's founder Tom Bauer gave us the code in writing by email in October 2026; no end date was given. We have not tried it at a checkout, so check that the discount shows before you pay. Read the shape of it before you count on it: it applies to the monthly plan you pick for three months, and from month four you pay the normal price, $49 a month on Starter or $597 on Growth.
The money-back guarantee reads as unconditional on the pricing page; the terms make it depend on using 80% of your messages and on SurFox verifying that the AI failed. The pricing page says only inbound calls count as voice minutes, while the terms say minutes are measured for outbound and inbound calls, and overage is billed automatically. Message top-up prices are not published. The terms put all TCPA liability on you, with an uncapped indemnity, and forbid purchased or scraped lists.
We tested only in a sandbox with sample data, so the learning feature, delivery and voice are unverified by us.
AI agent that texts, qualifies and books leads over SMS, website chat and inbound voice calls, then hands the ready ones to your team; aimed at staffing, real estate and home-services firms in the US.

Starter at $49 is a real trial of the product, not a demo: the same AI, calendar booking and knowledge base, on 1,000 messages a month. Because replies count too, and the vendor puts a conversation at 4 to 8 messages, that is roughly 125 to 250 conversations a month, our arithmetic. What Starter lacks is the feature SurFox sells hardest: conversation learning, where the AI studies past conversations and adjusts its style.
The next step is Growth at $597, twelve times the price for ten times the messages, plus learning from the last 100 conversations, A/B testing, Zapier and five users. That is the plan the product is built around, and it only pays if you have the volume: a list big enough to use most of 10,000 messages and a team that will take the calls. Growth Plus and Scale are volume tiers with the larger learning window of 1,000 conversations.
Watch voice on every plan: minutes over the bucket are charged automatically at $0.25 each, while message overages wait for you to buy a top-up.
The first findings are at the top of this page. The rest:
Most of our reviews are researched rather than run — how we review explains which is which, and why we do not pretend otherwise.
Test an AI SMS lead qualifier before it texts a real lead. A B2B company gets demo requests. The AI texts each lead, answers questions from one knowledge document, qualifies them and books a 20-minute call with an account executive.
Teams that are about to let an AI text, qualify and book their leads, and want to know during the trial whether it sticks to their own facts, honours a stop, books a real time and sends clean messages.
We ran 8 of 10 checks on SurFox AI (Review sandbox account from the founder (sample data, messaging off), web app, test conversation on the sample campaign 'Northlane Analytics - Demo Requests' (SMS)) on 2026-10-12. Not run: Q09, Q10. One run on one day; re-run the checks on the plan you would buy.
The kit has the prompt, all 10 checks with their pass conditions, made-up test data and our own run on SurFox AI. No sign-up needed.
When our recommendation changes
Delivery to real phones, carrier (A2P) registration, voice calls, website chat, CRM syncing and the learning feature on real data. Our own run was in SurFox's review sandbox, where leads and dashboards are sample data and messaging is switched off. What we found testing SurFox AI in its review sandbox.
Plan for the carrier registration first. US carriers require A2P registration before any business can send texts through SurFox, and the terms say you are charged at signup while your message allowance stays locked until that approval comes through. Carriers can ask for changes to your website, forms and consent wording, and the delay does not pause billing. Have your consent language and a clean, first-party contact list ready before you pay.
Then build one campaign with a knowledge document that answers the questions leads actually ask: price, contract terms, integrations, next steps. In our sandbox test the AI declined to make up a price that was not in the document and passed the question to the sales call, which is the behaviour you want. Use the built-in test conversation to play an interested lead, a no and a maybe before any real text goes out.
Start on Starter with a focused list. Only move to Growth when the volume and the learning feature are worth $597 a month to you, and keep an eye on voice minutes, which bill automatically past the bucket.
SurFox AI's own pages, read in a live browser on 15 October 2026: the pricing page at getsurfox.com/pricing with each FAQ answer opened (top-ups, voice minutes, website chats, cancellation, annual billing), the home page and the terms of service at getsurfox.com/terms, last updated 22 September 2026 (SurFox AI, Inc., a Delaware corporation; binding JAMS arbitration in Delaware; liability capped at 12 months of fees). The customer results on the home page are the vendor's own claims.
Our hands-on notes come from a review account in SurFox's review sandbox, given to us by founder Tom Bauer, tested on 3, 6 and 12 October 2026. SurFox AI is an affiliate partner of ours through its own affiliate programme, and the reader code was supplied by SurFox.
Each column shows the vendor’s own published entry price, read on the date shown. Entry prices can cover different services or units, so check what each one buys. We do not average them into a score.

The natural comparison is Salesmessage — Salesmessage is in our dossiers too, re-read on 13 October 2026: Basic $25 a month for 500 message credits and Pro $329 for 10,000, a business texting inbox with automation that your own team works. SurFox AI, read on 15 October 2026, is $49 for 1,000 messages and $597 for 10,000, and sells an AI that holds the whole qualifying conversation and books the call itself. Salesmessage is cheaper per message and keeps people in the loop; SurFox costs more to hand the first conversation to the AI..
Read on 15 October 2026: Starter $49 a month for 1,000 SMS messages, 100 website chats and 20 voice minutes; Growth $597 for 10,000 messages and conversation learning; Growth Plus $1,497 for 25,000; Scale $2,497 for 40,000. Billing is monthly only, with no setup fee. Voice minutes over your bucket cost $0.25 each and are billed automatically.
Only under conditions. The pricing page promises to refund every dollar if the AI fails, but the terms, read 15 October 2026, require that you sent at least 80% of your monthly messages through your approved flow within 30 days of carrier approval, and that the AI demonstrably failed at responding, following your flow, booking or disqualifying on a significant portion of conversations. SurFox verifies both from your logs. Ordinary cancellation gives no refund for a partial month.
Yes. SurFox counts every message in the conversation, your outbound texts and the lead's replies together, and says a conversation uses about 4 to 8 messages. Its founder told us the allowance counts messages, not SMS segments. So Starter's 1,000 messages is roughly 125 to 250 conversations a month, our arithmetic.
