Two meters at once: content types and pieces gate the lower tiers, and monthly LEAD limits gate the upside. Throughout this review we weigh it against Typeform.
marketers who want quizzes, calculators and assessments that earn the lead by giving genuine value — with logic, integrations and templates handled.
a simple form or survey does the job (Typeform-class is cheaper), or your traffic would blow through the lead caps.

Tested by our team on 30 October 2026 on the free trial: Daan created the account and our AI assistant ran the test in Daan's browser. We turned a template into a quiz calculator with our test question and fields, published it on Outgrow's own test link, submitted two made-up responses and exported them.

✓ Pricing re-verified 30 Sep 2026
| Plan | Price | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Freelancer Limited | $22/month or $14 annually | 5 content pieces, 5 content types, 250 leads a month |
| Freelancer Pro | $45/$25 | 7 pieces, 7 types, 1,000 leads |
| Essentials | $115/$95 | unlimited pieces, 9 types, 3 users, 7,500 leads |
| Business | $720/$600 | unlimited pieces, all types, 10 users, 50,000 leads |
| Forms/Surveys | $0 | 100 leads a month |
| Startup Basic | $55/$35 | 750 leads; only new companies can apply |
| Startup Special | $85/$55 | 8 content types, 6 pieces, 1,000-lead cap; only startups and small businesses can apply |
Summarised from the pricing notes below; the notes carry the conditions.
Freelancer Limited $22/month or $14 annually for 5 content pieces, 5 content types and 250 leads a month; Freelancer Pro $45/$25 for 7 pieces, 7 types and 1,000 leads; Essentials $115/$95 for unlimited pieces, 9 types, 3 users and 7,500 leads; Business $720/$600 for unlimited pieces, all types, 10 users and 50,000 leads. Annual billing is advertised as saving up to 44%.
Three tiers our earlier reading missed sit alongside these: a free Forms/Surveys plan at $0 with 100 leads a month, Startup Basic at $55/$35 ('only new companies can apply') with 750 leads, and Startup Special at $85/$55 ('only startups and small businesses can apply') with 8 content types, 6 pieces and the same 1,000-lead cap as Freelancer Pro. Outgrow branding cannot be removed below Essentials, where it comes off only under the small-business programme, and a custom domain via CNAME is Business-only.
A done-for-you build service is listed at 'starting from $250 per content piece'. Note that outgrow.co/llms.txt disagrees with the page: it lists Business at $225, mixes monthly and annual rates, and dates itself to 2025. Plans change — always verify the live price on their site.
Category context: Growth & Revenue. Across the 85 tools in this category that we researched with a public US-dollar price, the median entry price is about $30 a month (lowest paid plan as listed, per seat where the vendor prices per seat). Outgrow’s entry price of $22 a month sits below that median. Compare pricing conditions in the Software Cost Atlas →
We read Outgrow’s own pricing page on a schedule and keep every reading, so this is our record of the page — not a forecast, and not someone else’s summary. A change appears here only after we confirmed the new price on the page itself.
Unchanged. Every price on Outgrow’s pricing page was identical across our 12 reads from 6 Aug 2026 to 8 Nov 2026 (94 days).
Outgrow's main ladder is unchanged across every reading we have: our July and August 2026 captures both record $22/$14, $45/$25, $115/$95 and $720/$600, and the page returned exactly those figures again on 6 September 2026. One correction to our own record belongs here, though. On 17 August we wrote that a 'Startup at $85/$55' tier did not appear on the page, and struck it from the review. It does exist. It is called Startup Special, it is $85 monthly or $55 annually, it is restricted to startups and small businesses, and it sits in a second row of eligibility-gated plans below the main four — which is why a reading of the main ladder alone misses it. The tier we removed was real. Re-read on 30 September 2026: the same four main plans ($22/$14, $45/$25, $115/$95, $720/$600), the same eligibility row (Free Forms/Surveys $0, Startup Basic $55/$35, Startup Special $85/$55) and the same monthly lead caps (100, 250, 750, 1,000, 7,500, 50,000).

Read the caps rather than the prices — Freelancer Limited allows 250 leads a month, Freelancer Pro 1,000, Essentials 7,500 and Business 50,000 — because per lead, Essentials and Business cost almost the same and the real jump in value is from Pro to Essentials. Also note what money does not fix: Outgrow's branding stays on every plan below Essentials, comes off there only under the small-business programme, and a custom domain is Business-only at $600 a month.
Interactive content genuinely converts better than static forms, but only when the calculator or quiz gives real value; a thin quiz wrapped around a lead form fools nobody.

Hands-on: tested 2026-10-30Reported by buyers: G2 and Capterra, read August 2026
Themes from the buyer-review sites listed at the foot of this page, read in August 2026. We tested Outgrow ourselves on 2026-10-30, but one test is a narrow sample, so here is what other buyers report. We summarise it here because the complaints are usually the part a vendor page leaves out.
Two meters run here and we had the second one wrong. Content types and pieces gate the lower tiers; monthly lead caps gate the upside — but the caps are not what our earlier note said. Read off the plan panels: Freelancer Limited allows 250 leads a month, Freelancer Pro 1,000, Essentials 7,500 and Business 50,000, with a free forms-and-surveys tier at 100. That changes the whole calculation. Paid annually, Freelancer Pro is $25 for 1,000 leads, or 2.5 cents each.
Essentials is $95 for 7,500, or 1.27 cents. Business is $600 for 50,000, or 1.2 cents. So Essentials and Business cost effectively the same per lead, and the eightfold gap we previously described between them does not exist. The real cliff is one rung lower: moving from Freelancer Pro to Essentials halves your cost per lead and lifts the cap from 1,000 to 7,500. What no amount of money below $600 a month removes is Outgrow's own branding.
It stays on Freelancer Limited, Freelancer Pro and Startup Special; on Essentials it comes off only under the small-business programme; a custom domain via CNAME is Business-only. Everything below that sits on yourcompany.outgrow.us.
Our monthly capture read this vendor's pricing page every month from July 2026 to October 2026, and the amounts were the same all 4 times, including $115, $250, $600 and $720 from the pricing above. We keep watching — the registry records what moves.

We set a claim from Outgrow's own pages next to what we saw in our test, on the plan named. The status says whether the two describe the same thing and match; it is not a verdict on the product. Confirmations are listed too.

After Daan explicitly approved live publication, contrary to the test plan, submitted two live calculator responses and inspected the Full Export. Test date: 30 Oct 2026. We describe the friction rather than score it; this is one run with synthetic records, not a verdict on Outgrow.
| What we checked | What we saw |

| Came along in the export |
|
| Lost in the export | Nothing we could show was lost in this check. |
| Awkward but not lost | The second lead form retained the previous respondent details after reloading in the same browser. Lead email notifications were enabled by default. The source reports that the S3 export link opened without login. The export records respondent IP geolocation. The inspected menus offered no unpublish action without deleting the calculator. Template formulas were unchanged and the calculated result was not tested. |
| Export route | Analyze > Export Data > Full Export, then Previous Reports and email delivery. The report appeared after about 30 seconds following live submissions. |
| Export format | XLSX: one worksheet, 30 columns and two response records. No standalone native ID column; a uid appears only in Unique Results URL. Tag values remain one text field. |
| Re-importing the export | Response reimport was not offered; Import data concerns questions. Native-ID preservation was not tested because no independent ID was captured before export. |
| Cancelling | No unpublish action was found in the inspected Publish and dashboard menus; Delete was offered. The calculator was left live pending trial expiry on 6 November. Deletion remains a Daan action; cancellation and actual expiry were not tested. |

What this test does not show:
Most of our reviews are researched rather than run — how we review explains which is which, and why we do not pretend otherwise.
Forecast leads and then look one rung down the ladder, because the tier most people land on is not the one the price suggests. Essentials at $95 a month annually includes 7,500 leads; Freelancer Pro at $25 includes 1,000. Under a thousand leads a month, Pro is the plan, and at its ceiling the FAQ offers two routes: move up a tier, or take a lead add-on where you are.
Check the eligibility tiers before you pay list price. There is a $0 forms-and-surveys plan at 100 leads a month, a Startup Basic at $35 annually for new companies with 750, and a Startup Special at $55. Read that last one carefully: it costs $30 more than Freelancer Pro, carries the same 1,000-lead cap and allows one content piece fewer, so it buys charts, a chatbot type and webhooks rather than headroom.
If you do hit the cap, ask before upgrading — the pricing FAQ says the vendor will craft a lead add-on instead. And do not price from outgrow.co/llms.txt: it puts Business at $225 where the page says $720.
Outgrow's own pricing page (outgrow.co/pricing/), read 6 September 2026 from a Netherlands exit — the four main plan cards with their monthly and annual amounts, the per-plan detail panels for content types, content pieces, users, lead caps, charts, branding and hosting, the second row of eligibility-gated plans (free Forms/Surveys, Startup Basic, Startup Special), the 'starting from $250 per content piece' build service, and the pricing FAQ on lead add-ons. Checked against outgrow.co/llms.txt, which lists a different and lower Business price and dates itself to 2025.
Re-read 30 September 2026 on outgrow.co/pricing/ (plan cards, custom-plan row and per-plan detail panels with their yearly and monthly lead caps); outgrow.co/llms.txt still lists Business at $225/month and dates itself to 2025, so the page stays the source.
Each column shows the vendor’s own published entry price, read on the date shown. Entry prices can cover different services or units, so check what each one buys. We do not average them into a score.

Exit check 2026-10-30; route excerpt: Analyze > Export Data > Full Export, then Previous Reports and email delivery …; came along (excerpts): Both test records, Unicode names, full multiline text and separate custom codes / Amounts 12.10 and 24.20 retain their trailing zero … / Pipe-delimited tag strings return unchanged in one text field … / System response dates and answers B and A; lost (excerpts): none recorded in this test; re-import: not tested.
Billed annually: $14 a month for Freelancer Limited, $25 for Freelancer Pro, $95 for Essentials and $600 for Business. Billed monthly those become $22, $45, $115 and $720. Annual is advertised as saving up to 44%. There is also a free forms-and-surveys plan, and two eligibility-gated tiers — Startup Basic at $35 annually for new companies and Startup Special at $55 for startups and small businesses. Read on 6 September 2026.
Between Freelancer Pro and Essentials: $25 to $95 a month annually. That is where content pieces become unlimited, the lead cap goes from 1,000 to 7,500 a month and you get three users instead of one. It is also where the cost per lead halves, from 2.5 cents to 1.27 cents, which is the only rung on the ladder where the price per unit moves that far.
Only on lead volume and branding. Business raises the allowance from 7,500 leads a month to 50,000 — about six times the volume for about six times the price, so the cost per lead barely moves. What it does buy outright is full removal of Outgrow branding and hosting on your own domain via CNAME, neither of which is available lower down except under the small-business programme.
