Four tiers, each paid one with a 7-day free trial, and every amount unchanged since 22 August 2026. Free: a WhatsApp chat button with unlimited conversations, custom size and location, and prefilled messages. Pro $6.99 a month or $67.10 a year, a 20% saving: premium button designs, a WhatsApp widget, text customisation, product URLs in messages, custom hours, reports, and abandoned-cart and order-confirmation messages you send manually.
Power Automation $79.99 a month or $719.88 a year, a 25% saving: automated abandoned-cart recovery, WhatsApp marketing campaigns, customisable automated messages, bulk messaging to Shopify segments, an inbox with Shopify integration and the official WhatsApp Business API. It includes 1,000 one-click messages every 30 days and quotes WhatsApp rates starting at $0.0158 in the US on top. Elite $159.99 a month or $1,439.88 a year, also a 25% saving, adds an AI chatbot for sales and support, AI corrections and training, AI product recommendations, a five-agent WhatsApp inbox, green-tick verification assistance, a VIP account manager and unlimited WhatsApp flows; same 1,000 included messages, rates starting at $0.0126.
All charges are billed in USD and recur every 30 days, and Meta's per-conversation charges are separate from all of it. The listing now also advertises work the dossier did not cover in August: collecting WhatsApp reviews through Judge.me, Loox, Yotpo, Trustoo or Google, cash-on-delivery messaging, and AI agents alongside the chatbot; the named integrations are Shopify Flow, Shopify Admin, Judge.me, Klaviyo, Loox, WhatsApp API and WhatsApp Business.
Developer Dondy; the app launched 15 March 2023, is available in five languages and carries Shopify's “Built for Shopify” badge. Reviews have grown to 823 averaging 4.9, up from 774 on 22 August, distributed 92% five-star (756), 4% four-star (36), 1% three-star (6), 0% two-star (4) and 3% one-star (21) — the one-star count is the same 21 as a month ago, so all 49 new reviews landed above the bottom. Plans change — always verify the live price on their site.

It is a decent chat button, and conversations through it are unlimited. But none of the marketing this app is named for is in it. Automated cart recovery, campaigns and the official API begin at $79.99 a month, and the $6.99 tier in between only lets you send those same messages by hand. You will also get two bills. Dondy charges the subscription; Meta charges per conversation on the WhatsApp Business API.
Dondy can only tell you the rate starts at $0.0158 or $0.0126, because the real figure depends on the country you are messaging and the type of conversation. A thousand one-click messages a month are included on the two top tiers; past that, your monthly total is not knowable from this listing, and a campaign to a large segment is exactly the kind of thing that produces a surprise. Model it against your own list size and destination countries before you send one.
The rest is Meta's rulebook, not Dondy's. Opt-in, message templates and sender quality are governed on WhatsApp's side, so approval and reach are not things this app can promise you whatever you pay it. The review record is strong — 823 reviews, 92% at the top rating, and the 21 one-star reports have not grown while 49 reviews were added since August — and a misfired broadcast on this channel is still a block rather than an unsubscribe.
WhatsApp marketing and support for Shopify on the official WhatsApp Business API: abandoned-cart recovery, campaigns to Shopify segments, automated order messages, a shared inbox and an AI chatbot for sales and support. Free for the chat button; $6.99 a month for manual messages, $79.99 for automation and campaigns, $159.99 with the AI chatbot, plus Meta's own per-conversation charges from $0.0126.

Recurring themes from the buyer-review sites listed at the foot of this page, read in August 2026. We have not run Dondy ourselves, so this is other buyers' experience rather than ours. We summarise it here because the complaints are usually the part a vendor page leaves out.
Where the ratings disagree. 91% five stars and 3% one star out of 774, and the average hides that the 21 one-stars are not really about whether the product works. They fall into two piles: an annual charge the merchant did not think they had agreed to, and a WhatsApp number Meta restricted. Both are things you can check before you install — read which billing period the plan picker is on, and know your own send volume — and neither shows up in a rating.
There are two meters here, and the second one decides the tier. The subscription ladder is $6.99, $79.99 and $159.99, and the step from the first to the second is where the product actually starts. Pro buys a better button and messages you send by hand, while automated cart recovery, campaigns and the official WhatsApp Business API all begin at Power Automation. The second meter is Meta's, and Dondy quotes its own floor for it: conversations start at $0.0158 on Power Automation and $0.0126 on Elite, with 1,000 one-click messages included every 30 days on both.
That gap is worth a sum. Elite costs $80 a month more and saves $0.0032 a conversation, so on messaging alone the upgrade repays itself at around 25,000 conversations a month. Below that volume the $80 is buying the AI chatbot, the five-agent inbox and the account manager — which may well be worth it, but as a features decision rather than a volume one.
Work out the second bill first. Take last month's abandoned carts and the countries they came from, multiply by the rate Dondy quotes for the plan you are considering, and set that next to the subscription. The total is what WhatsApp marketing actually costs you, and it is the only number worth comparing against the email flow you already run. Then start on Power Automation rather than Pro, because a cart-recovery message you send by hand is a demo, not a channel.
Switch on one flow — abandoned cart — and leave everything else off for a fortnight. Read the replies rather than the delivery rate. WhatsApp is a personal inbox: if people answer your cart message you have acquired a support channel as well as a marketing one. That, not the message volume, is what decides whether the Elite tier's five-agent inbox and AI chatbot are worth the step up.

Two bills, and the smaller one is the subscription. Read on 18 September 2026 and unchanged since 22 August: Free for the chat button, Pro $6.99 a month or $67.10 a year, Power Automation $79.99 or $719.88 a year, Elite $159.99 or $1,439.88 a year. On top of that Meta charges per conversation on the WhatsApp Business API, and Dondy can only quote a floor — from $0.0158 on Power Automation and from $0.0126 on Elite, both in the US — because the real rate depends on the destination country and the conversation type. Both top tiers include 1,000 one-click messages every 30 days. So the honest way to budget is last month's abandoned carts times the rate for the countries they came from, added to the plan price.
Power Automation at $79.99. That is where the product starts, and the gap below it is wider than the $73 suggests. Free gets a chat button. Pro at $6.99 buys better button designs, a widget, product URLs, custom hours, reports, and abandoned-cart and order-confirmation messages that you send by hand — which is a demo, not a channel. Automated cart recovery, marketing campaigns, bulk messaging to Shopify segments, the Shopify-integrated inbox and the official WhatsApp Business API all begin at Power Automation. If the plan is to recover carts automatically, read $79.99 as the entry price and treat the two tiers under it as a chat widget with extras.
On messaging volume alone, only if you are very large. Elite costs $80 a month more and lowers the quoted conversation floor from $0.0158 to $0.0126, a saving of $0.0032 per conversation, so on rates alone the step repays itself at roughly 25,000 conversations a month. Below that volume the $80 is buying features rather than arithmetic: an AI chatbot for sales and support with corrections and training, AI product recommendations, a five-agent WhatsApp inbox, green-tick verification assistance, a VIP account manager and unlimited flows. The five-agent inbox is the one to watch, because WhatsApp is a personal inbox and customers reply: if your cart messages generate conversations, you have acquired a support channel and the seat count starts to matter more than the rate.
Usually yes for the major platforms, but check yours specifically. Tools in this class typically ship native connectors for the big CMS, CRM and email platforms and fall back on Zapier, webhooks or an API for everything else. The practical question is whether your stack is on the native list or needs glue, because a missing native connector normally means either manual work or a paid middleware layer. Check the integrations page for your exact tools before you buy.
