Lusha Review (2026)40 Free Credits, and a Phone Costs 5 of Them

By · Researched and written with an AI assistant · who does what

A phone number costs 5 credits, so the credit counts on the plan cards buy far fewer phone numbers than contacts.

Best for

sales reps and small B2B teams who want verified emails and direct dials from a Chrome extension on LinkedIn and company sites, paid by the credit.

Skip it if

you mainly need phone numbers in volume (at 5 credits each they get expensive) or a full outreach and sequencing suite.

The FAQ prices the credits: a verified email costs 1 credit, a phone number 5 and company information 1; a lookup with no match costs nothing.

Through the API a request costs 1 credit per up to 25 results plus the data revealed. Data Waterfall, on Pro and above, costs 2 credits for an email and 8 for a phone when it finds one. The catch

Annual credits are granted upfront and reset at the end of the year, and plans renew automatically unless you cancel at least 14 days before the renewal date. Seats are capped per plan (1 on Starter, 2 on Pro, 5 on Premium). Lusha's data partly comes from a community programme in which members share contact details from their email headers and signatures, which matters if you sell into privacy-sensitive markets. We have not used Lusha ourselves.

What Lusha does

B2B contact and company database with a Chrome extension for LinkedIn and websites: verified emails and direct dials, CRM enrichment, buying-intent signals and an API, paid in credits.

Count phones, not contacts: one number uses five credits

Lusha prices everything in credits, and the credit price of a reveal decides what a plan is worth. An email costs 1 credit and a phone number 5, so Starter's 400 monthly credits are 400 emails or 80 phone numbers, and a contact with both uses 6. The free plan's 40 credits a month are enough to test the data on your own target list, which is the honest way to judge a contact database: count how many of your real prospects come back with a working email or phone.

Pro is the first tier for a small team, with 2 seats, the API and CSV enrichment for cleaning a CRM list. Premium at $299.95 a month yearly is a team plan with 5 seats and credit allocation. Yearly billing is 25% cheaper but hands you a year of credits at once that expire at the end of the cycle, so buy yearly only when you know your monthly usage.

How to actually use Lusha

Sign up for Free and spend the 40 credits on 30 to 40 contacts from your actual target list, then count the hit rate for emails and phones. Work out your monthly need in credits: emails times 1 plus phones times 5. Start on monthly billing; on Pro and Premium unused monthly credits roll over up to twice the allowance. Put the renewal date in your calendar, because cancellation has to be in at least 14 days before it.

The credit and export caps are the catch — real usage on enrichment and dialing often runs well above the sticker, and data accuracy is hit-or-miss, so verify before you outreach at scale.

The natural comparison is Apollo — Apollo is in our dossiers too and bundles a contact database with sequencing and a generous free tier. Lusha is the narrower tool: a contact and enrichment database with a well-known Chrome extension, priced by credits where a phone costs 5 and an email 1..
