✓ Pricing re-verified 30 Sep 2026
Priced on the revenue its offers bring in, not on features: the help centre says all plans include the same features. Kickstart is $12.99 a month, or $131.88 a year at a stated 15% saving, for up to $1,000 of bundle offer revenue a month, and the listing marks it with a discounted price for first-time users. Scale Koala is $19.99 a month or $191.88 a year for up to $5,000.
Unlimited is $59.99 a month or $575.88 a year with no revenue ceiling. Every paid plan has a 14-day free trial. The listing also shows a free tier, described as 'perfect for development stores'; the billing article lists only the three paid plans for a live store. Bundle offer revenue is the full value of a bundle bought through a Koala block or post-purchase offer, not the extra amount it earned: a $70 three-pack counts as $70.
At 80% of the cap the store owner gets a warning email, at 100% a second email, and if nothing changes within 24 hours the offers are paused until the first day of the next month. All charges are in USD, billed through Shopify every 30 days. Developer ProfitKoala, with an address in Vilnius, Lithuania; the listing gives a launch date of 11 March 2024 and shows 811 reviews. The help centre defines bundle offer revenue as the whole value of the bundle a customer buys through a Koala offer, not the uplift over the normal price: a $70 three-pack adds $70 to the counter even if one unit on its own would have sold for $30. Kickstart's $1,000 a month is therefore roughly fourteen of those $70 bundles, and a store selling a few bundles a day is past it in the first week.
Scale Koala's $5,000 is the realistic starting point for a store that actually uses bundles as a main offer, and above that the next step is Unlimited at $59.99, three times the price. What happens at the ceiling matters more than the price. There is no overage charge; instead the store owner gets an email at 80% and at 100%, and if nobody upgrades within 24 hours the offers are paused until the first of the next month.
A 24-hour window is short: a cap reached on a Friday night during a promotion can take the bundles off the product pages before anyone reads the email. If bundles are part of a campaign, set the plan on the revenue you expect at the peak, and check the usage counter in the app while it runs. The counter is only as good as the attribution behind it. On 29 September 2026 a US merchant with four months on the app wrote that Koala counted an order as a bundle sale when the customer bought one unit of a buy-three offer plus other items and never received the discount.
We could not check that claim, but it is worth testing on your own store, because on this pricing model an overcount is not just a flattering report: it moves you towards the cap. Other critical reviews describe a bundle that could not map each variant to its own SKU for the supplier (July 2025), products shown as sold out despite stock (December 2025), and a widget that loaded slowly; the help centre says a delay of four to five seconds goes away once you add the app block to the product template instead of relying on the embed. We have not installed the app.
Shopify app (by ProfitKoala) for quantity breaks, multi-product bundles, cart volume discounts, BOGO offers and one-click post-purchase upsells, with an announcement bar and countdown timer; every plan has the same features and is metered on the bundle revenue the offers bring in.

There is no feature to unlock: the help centre says every plan has the same features, from quantity breaks and multi-product bundles to cart volume discounts, the announcement bar and countdown timer, live chat support and multi-language support. You pay only for the size of the revenue counter. That makes the choice arithmetic. Kickstart at $12.99 suits a store testing its first bundles, as long as the offers bring in less than $1,000 a month counted at full bundle value.
Scale Koala at $19.99 is seven dollars more for five times the ceiling and is the plan most working stores should start on. Unlimited at $59.99 is worth it once a single month can pass $5,000, because the alternative is offers that pause a day after the cap. Yearly billing takes 15% off Kickstart and 20% off the other two; since plans can be switched at any time, it makes sense to settle on the right tier monthly before paying for a year.
Start the 14-day trial on a duplicate of your live theme, not on the live one. The help centre describes it step by step: duplicate the theme, turn on the Koala Bundles app embed there only, and test the offer before you publish it. That also lets you check how the offer combines with your existing discounts; Koala creates product discounts, which Shopify lets you combine with order discounts, free-shipping discounts and product discounts on other products.
Add the right app block to the product template rather than relying on the embed alone. For quantity breaks and volume discounts that is the Koala Deals block, for bundles the Bundle block; the help centre says this removes the four-to-five-second delay before the offer appears. Shopify allows up to 25 automatic discount offers active at once, so group products with the same rule into one offer. Before a promotion, open the billing section and look at the month's bundle revenue so far.
Place a test order that does not qualify for an offer and check that it does not appear in Koala's revenue, since that counter decides your plan. To stop, uninstall the app, which cancels the subscription; one final charge can still appear if the billing cycle has started.
Distilled from Koala Bundles Volume Discounts' Shopify App Store listing and review pages, including the one-, two- and three-star reviews, the ProfitKoala website, and the vendor's help-centre articles on billing plans, bundle offer revenue, the revenue cap, cancelling and pausing, testing offers, the loading delay, discount combinations and the number of active offers, all read on 30 September 2026; our Easy Bundles dossier (prices read 4 September 2026) for the comparison. We have not installed the app.
Both columns come from the same place: each vendor’s own published pricing, read on the date shown in the sources at the foot of this page. We do not average them into a score.

The natural comparison is Easy Bundles — Easy Bundles is the closest comparison in our own dossiers, because it is metered the same way: on bundle sales rather than on features or orders. On our reading of 4 September 2026 it was free up to $500 of bundle sales a month, $29 up to $3,000, $49 up to $5,000 and $99 up to $10,000, with no published tier above that. Koala Bundles, read on 30 September 2026, starts at $12.99 for $1,000, charges $19.99 up to $5,000 and $59.99 with no ceiling at all, so at every published level it is the cheaper of the two. The difference is what you get for the money. Easy Bundles builds real bundle products, with build-your-own-box, gift boxes, inventory synced across Shopify and 3PLs and POS support, and unlocks features plan by plan; Koala puts the same discount toolkit on every plan and is built around quantity breaks, volume discounts and post-purchase upsells. A store that ships bundles as their own SKUs fits Easy Bundles; a store that wants discount offers on existing products for less fits Koala..
Kickstart is $12.99 a month for up to $1,000 of bundle offer revenue, Scale Koala $19.99 for up to $5,000 and Unlimited $59.99 with no cap, each with a 14-day free trial and a yearly option. Read on the Shopify App Store on 30 September 2026.
The full value of every bundle bought through a Koala offer or post-purchase offer, not just the extra revenue it earned. A $70 bundle adds $70 to the month's counter.
You are not charged extra. You get an email at 80% and at 100%, and if you do not upgrade within 24 hours your offers are paused until the first day of the next month.
Check your platform and version specifically. Shopify support is close to universal in this category, while WooCommerce, BigCommerce, Magento and headless setups vary a lot, and 'supported' sometimes means a generic API rather than a maintained app. A listing in your own platform's app store, with recent reviews there, is a better signal than the vendor's logo wall.
